Default Wild West World - RIP

If any of you have the new Wild West World theme park, north of Wichita, on
their Midwest travel
itinerary you'll need to modify you plans. The park, which opened in May,
closed yesterday and filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Reasons cited were 50 of
60 days of rain since the May opening, the early May tornados including
Greensburg, startup cost overruns and lack of starting capital.

In other words no money + bad luck. Kills a lot of businesses.

Still lots to see in this area including museums, Cosmosphere in Hutch,
Discovery Place, etc.

You make a good point that I should have made in my original post. The
Theme park that failed is north of Wichita (actually Park City, a suburb).
The Prairie Rose Supper Club which is North of Andover, an East Wichita
Suburb. As of this mornings paper, Prairie Rose Supper Club is a separate
business which remains unaffected - Prairie Rose REMAINS OPEN.

And yes they are nice people.
