If I understand you correctly you have not been RVers and now you plan
to sell your stuff and jump into the lifestyle cold turkey. IMHO that
is a mistake. My wife & I know that we can & will do it someday but
..... BIG but ...... we have been easing into the lifestyle for 10
years.

My advice - which is free and may be worth exactly what you are paying
for it - try before you buy. Rent an RV or buy something used that
you can try for a month or two before you commit. You may love it but
we know people that wouldn't last a week let alone a year.

No. I used a pick and shovel . The ground was too hard to dig by hand.

Some states have volunteer oportunities that may say you some money.
You may have to sign up a year in advance in some more popular areas
(ie. Florida)

Rock walls are ubiquitous here. We have an abundant supply of rocks from
the Franklin mountains. <G>
Hacienda Heights. I know the area well. Larger than average lots (for El
Paso) Almost exclusively Latino neighborhood now. I enjoyed inspecting
houses there in the summer. The aroma of chilis being roasted, tortillas
being made.............mmmm.

Must be regional. Here in the northeast, or at least Rhode Island, we've
just gotten over the crest of this cycle. I expect it to be in a slump
(or at least very slow growth) for awhile.

I bought into the market at the peak. :(
