Default Power convertor problems?

I have a TT with a slide out. The battery is no longer good. In order
for me to slide it in & out. I must have a bettery charger on the
battery to do it. Plugging in the camper does nothing. Is this
normal? I would think that the converter would reroute. It is a
Magnetek 6300A Model 6332.

Thanks
Jason

If the dead battery is still in the circuit, it probably takes more
juice than the converter can provide and still operate the slide.
The charger has enough amps so it can do both. Buy a new battery.

On our first TT, I remember that we had no 12 VDC from the converter
unless the battery was in place. It was a 1993 Coachmen, as I recall.
