Default Table Mountain, WA?

Has anybody from the group camped at Table Mt west of Ellensburg in WA
State? I heard in the summer months
it's packed with RV's and Telescopes. I'm wondering what the road is like
for larger rigs w/toads?

Thanks Ralph, I just bought a Meade Dobsonian through ebay, kind of big but
I'll figure out a way to haul it. Pretty screwy don't you think to buy a
telescope and yet live in the rainiest part of the world? That's why I'm
looking forward to some higher ground to try it out on.

Hey who says you have to sleep in a telescope cramp'd RV, just be sure and
bring along a tent! ((:-) I'm just a newby amature but I do have some great
skycharts loaded into my laptop so I'm sure if we see a star, we'll be able
to identify it.

I have a friend that purchased that exact scope. Very nice unit! I like
the laser aiming. We used it to view Mars when it was closest to Earth. I
believe he purchased it from Cosco also for around the $200 range..but then
went out and purchased a $250 set of lenses <g> He also got an adapter to
attach his digital camera.

I'm also just starting to get into star gazing...and am very much an
armature doing so. That Nexstar was so easy to use and like Deano said,
along with a great star-chart we had on our laptop, it was really easy for
us.
