Ben,
If you'll confirm that your email is valid, I'll scan and
send about four pages from an old Onan rv genset training manual
that give theory of operation, wiring diagram, and schematic for
the LK variant that was in production at the time the manual was
printed. It may not be an _exact_ match with what you have, but
it will probably be close enough for you to figure it out. If you
want, give me the model and spec of your genset and I'll look up
the exact diagram at work monday and send it.

Ok, Ben
I'll still email you the stuff from the training manual once
I get it scanned - but from the information above, what you have
is not the 'rv' version of the genset, but a 'utility' genset
version. These produce three phase output instead of the normal
single phase, and were most commonly used on small 'bucket'
trucks like the panel vans commonly used by large cities to
change streetlights etc. They use three phase motors to rotate,
extend, and raise or lower the boom because it's trivial to
reverse a three phase motor's direction of rotation - but most of
the LK versions produced for this had no 'genset' controls for
ignition or starter - this was provided by a control panel made
by the boom truck manufacturer. I -do- have a schematic covering
the most common version at work, but it'll be Monday night before
I can send it to you.
Unless you have a _need_ for three phase power (most rv's
certainly don't) this is not something that's going to be worth
putting a whole lot of time and materials into - the maximum
single phase load you can put on one of these is about 1kw.
