I don't have their rates handy so these are approximate. Full hookups (50
amp electric, water, sewer, cable)- something like $38 a night for two
adults and two children, extra adults are $4); water and electric only-
$4-$5 dollars less; tent sites about $30. Paying for six days at
registration gets the seventh day free. Monthly full hookups used to be
$500, but are probably higher now. Seasonal (12 months) is going to be
$2350 for 2004- campers pay metered electric. Cabin rates go by season. In
summer I think they are about $60 a night with a/c or heat- camper furnishes
linens.
For comparison, the KOA and Camp Hatteras at Rodanthe are upper $50s a night
and Ocean Wave (mentioned in some other posts) advertises full hookups for
$20 a night. These three are closer to "carnival things" and are
"walk-to-the-beach" locations. They also open directly on to the only
highway running the length of Hatteras Island. It's a matter of personal
preference, but I don't like to be too close to the beach- lots of salt
spray and noise when the surf is up.
