 S. Lake Tahoe campground recommendations
We are a family of 4(kids will be 4 and 5) that is heading to South Lake
Tahoe in mid-June 2004.
A relatives wedding is planned and we thought this would be a good way to do
some other exploring.
For this trip we may tent camp or use a pop-up.
I have found 3 campgrounds in the area and would like some input.
Zephyr Cove campground, Hwy 50, South Shore, Zephyr Cove, NV. About 1.5
miles from where other relatives are staying.
Found 1 good review for this site so far.
Campground by the Lake, 1150 Rufus Allen Blvd., South Lake Tahoe, CA. About
5 miles from family.
Tahoe Valley campground, 1175 Melba Dr., South Lake Tahoe, CA., This is
probably 6 or 7 miles from family. There are a few good reviews for this
site, including one with several pictures. The only thing that turned me off
on this location was the proximity to an airport.
I am leaning towards Zephyr Cove.
Can anyone else add some insights.
BTW, I have been lurking for a short while, but you will likely see my sig.
pop up alot more in the coming months. We are really getting into planning
this trip to Tahoe from OKC.
