Today, we've placed online a new feature at TRAVEL.com. You will notice the "Photos" tab in the upper right hand corner of our navigation menu bar. Clicking on the PHOTOS tab will take you to our Photo galleries. Here, members may share digital photos from their travels.

Like the messaging Forums, you must do a simple online registration to participate. In fact, both the Forums and the Photos areas use the same registration. So if you register in one, you are registered in both.

We have placed online just a few countries and cities to start. It only takes a minute to add a new photo category. We will be happy to add many more. Just request additional galleries (that you would like to upload to) in the Suggestions forums. We hope to cover the world. In fact, we will be getting very local to the point of placing online photos of our local area.

Also, we hope to soon place online a cruise gallery where you can post pictures of the various ships you may have cruised on. If you have any other ideas, please let us know in the Suggestions forum.

I've turned on a feature that will allow batch uploading of pictures. It is currently set to accept groups of up to 20 pictures at a time. Please let me know if you encounter any problems with it.

We all enjoy any pictures you can share with us online. If you have hundreds or thusands of pictures you would like to upload, we can make it even simpler if you send those pictures to us on CD or DVD.

If you layout a directory structure such as the follows, we can easily get them online to proper categories quickly:

c:\USA\Los_Angeles
c:\Japan\Tokyo
c:\China\Beijing
c:\USA\Hawaii\Maui

As long as we can easily tell the country name and city name, we can easily place them online. If you wish to edit them further online, you can do so at your pleasure.

Just let us know here in advance.
