Oh, were you referring to purchase time? The China article said they
considered taxis to be public transportation, and that it was good
that the card would additionally work there because they wanted people
to use public transit.

In other words, there's no reason to not provide the usual discount.

Naw, I'm saying that won't happen. It would be a simple swipe.

If the discount is a problem, they can always raise the taxi fares
just enough to compensate for it. Yeah, it wouldn't be quite fair for
cash users. But it could also be used to not charge the cabbies a fee
for accepting credit cards.
