Rich folks will not use this train. NJT and the casinos should target
the small time gambler, but the proposed fare for this train trip means
they will remain using the myriad of bus services to get there.

They've actually proposed building one, across Westchester connecting
Tarrytown to White Plains and Port Chester in their Tappan Zee
replacement draft EIS. It'll never be built, but it's a great idea.

The distance between the casinos and the railroad terminal is very
walkable. For the elderly, handicapped or lazy folks, there's a free
jitney service which will bring you to the front door of the casino of
your choice.

Nestled between the Convention Center and the Expressway.
How will gamblers get from there to the casinos?
The casinos run free "jitneys" (vans) from the station to the Boardwalk.

Please tell us what your route was before you gave it up. I can't think
of any NJT line which ordinarily runs that slow outside the Montclair
Midtown Direct train.

What line?

There was also another proposal to connect the line from Port Jervis
across the new bridge and across Westchester to the Harlem line in White
Plains, and then down to GCT. It's probably DOA due to the limitations
of the Harlem's infrastructure and the additional cost.
