Default Manhattan bottom-half bus map

Petey,

On a 13x19 page, the size of the below-63rd bus map is huge. I then
folded it in quarters and put it in my manbag. I'm happy to have a
large-sized map, as compared to the official one, as I travel about
the city.

[what I learned today] the M21 makes more stops than are listed on the
M21 PDF. The Houston/6th Ave stop was non-existent due to construction
along Houston. The city is installing a raised (about 2 feet) plant
barrier along the insides of the street (separating east-west
traffic).

Also, the building at 455 First Ave is nasty. NYPD took my photo just
to get into the building to get to the library. Something about
infectious diseases, dead critters and blood testing on other floors.

You don't understand that when you say one thing and mean another, and
refuse to recognize that, you're lying?

At four a.m., you were probably drunk, too.

Not good for a boy with the mind of a twelve-year-old.

There are at least two stops listed for intra-lower-manhattan bus
routes. I saw one that listed three stops. I never said I was listing
all stops, learn to read boy. I did say the map was the lower part of
the specified MTA map, no reason for Petey to bleat on and on about
his disappointment.

To me, "bus stops" means "bus route" because a route is composed of
stops. The maps shows some stops, but mainly shows the overall route
of the series of stops comprising the route. Petey already confirmed
that bus drivers either respond to a ding by stopping (within a couple
clocks?), or their route includes frequent stops.

That means you don't really need to know the stops to get off. Which
is great for getting off. But what about knowing where a bus stop is
to get on it?

Anyone know why that information isn't online? A simple linear list as
exists on subway platforms would at least do.

So you'll have to go online, to the trip planner. Uncheck 'subway',
type in the intersection along the bus route to another along the
route, and the trip planner will tell you the exact bus stops. Let me
try that now.

Yes, it works, it will pick out bus stops. Gee, they have the data,
why no mapping?

I wonder why you associate 4 AM with probably being drunk. I never
started drinking as a kid. It tasted bad and I didn't persue it.
