That it supports Upstate has never even been in dispute. Nobody claimed
it supports half the world.

Upstate lags economically, but NYS as a whole (largely thanks to the
city) is a major tax donor to the rest of the country.

I doubt the disappearance of a half trillion dollar economy would go
unnoticed. You let your hatred of cities blind you to facts.

The so-called "benefit" of New York City would merely relocate elsewhere,
like Plano, TX. The wealth was not generated in NYC to start with, only
reported there.
