Subway Cell Service Moving Forward

I can't find a trace of the story anywhere else, but there was a blip
on News 4HD TV that the MTA has decided to move forward with cellphone
service in the subways.

This will be just the stations, not the tunnels.

It's not a new story, but apparently the MTA affirmed they are moving
forward with it. Previous versions of this story said the MTA wanted a
cell provider to wire it all up for free. The MTA does report that
public telephone contracts have lost millions in value as cellphone
usage has gone up.
