Default Need help with Transit

Hi everyone,

I will go to NYC next month and I need to go from JFK to 501 KENNEDY
BOULEVARD
NORTH BERGEN, NJ 07047

This is Budget rental where I will pick up my rental car and continue
with my journey in NY/NJ.

How do I get to this address or closest train station from JFK?

I am having hard time doing trip planing with NJ transit website.

I called the Budget location and they told me that Hudson station was
the closest station first time, then told me Journal Square is the
second time. I am so confused now.

Please help.

thanks

It's not near a rail station. You could go to Journal Square station,
PATH, which is also a bus terminal, and take the local Kennedy
Boulevard bus about a mile north to the location. I suppose the
routing would be Airtrain to Jamaica, E subway to Chambers St, PATH to
Journal Square, and bus.

There must be closer places to JFK!

Try flying to Newark Airport. At least from there a taxi or a limo
would be affordable. JFK is the area airport that is furthest from and
least convenient for your destination. NJ Transit must have bus service
on Tonnele Avenue. You could take the light rail to Tonnele Ave. and
then take the bus up Tonnele Ave. or find a bus that runs directly from
the Port Authority Bus Terminal. That address is five blocks from
Tonnele Avenue according to Mapquest.

Are you sure about the address? That address on Kennedy ought to be at
5th St., and there's no 5th St. in North Bergen. (The numbered
streets start in Union City, and because the Jersey City/Union City
border is diagonal, and the streets in JC aren't numbered, 5th doesn't
even intersect Kennedy in UC.)

5001 sounds right -- there's a place where northbound Kennedy curves
and narrows suddenly, I think it's a Budget lot, and I think it's at
50th St. It's quite a ways from the Journal Square bus station, but
that's where you can transfer from PATH train to the right bus.

What does that mean? There's no city, town, or village called Hudson;
Hudson is the county that JC, UC, NB, and Secaucus are in, and
Secaucus Road at Kennedy Blvd. is near the boundary between JC and UC.

The trek from the F station to the PATH is a lot more complicated, and
probably longer and more congested, than the connection from the E
terminal to the PATH.

I _think_ the E gets there quicker than the A, but it's a longer
AirTrain ride. It would never occur to me to take the LIRR.
