From Mill CReek Mall, you can get the Bus 320, to New York Port Authority
Terminal. The fare would be $2 and the travel time would be about 30
minutes. You can get to the Grand Central or the Penn Station by walking a
couple of blocks, or taking a subway.
Secaucus has a train station, and you can get a train to NYPenn for about 4
dollars or so. It should take you about 15-20 minutes.
From the Newark Airport, you can take the line 62 to Newark Penn Station
($1.10), and then take the PATH trains to 33rd st, via journal sqaure. There
is probably some Coach America buses that take you to New York for $12 or so
too, but I've never taken them.

Debatable. I don't know what time of day this trip is going to take
place, but I last flew in on a weekday afternoon, took the monorail to
Terminal A, hopped right on the bus (had little enough baggage to make
it practical, and was at Newark Penn Station within 15 minutes. There's
still the $4 or whatever it costs to take the train from there to
factor in, but still, I found it a great bargain.

why did you have to take the monorail to Terminal A, unless you just
wanted to try it out? The buses that take you to the newark penn
station are available at all the terminals.

I just went down there because that's where they hang out before they
start the trip. I didn't remember that it stopped at all the terminals,
but I guess it probably did.
