Default Complete Subway Station List

I'm working on a research project and am currently looking to find
a complete list of NYC subway stations and their official names.
I've noticed that many of the names found above token booths and
on MetroCard receipts do not match up with the names on mta.info
and other places. Does there exist a list of subway stations, each
station's official name, and possibly (but optionally) the line(s)
it serves? Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe

Default Complete Subway Station List

Thanks for the response to my previous inquiry.
I've noticed that there are various one-character prefixes that
each booth has as well. Some of the ones I've noticed so far are
A, H, N, and R, followed by the usual 3-digit booth ID (which is
what I'm assuming this denotes). Does anyone know the meanings of
these prefixes? Also, is there a listing of these booths anywhere?
I'm interested in obtaining some statistical information (with the
data to back it up), such as how many booths per station, etc.

Thanks again,

Joe
