Default Interesting Transit Day

On Feb. 19, 2004 at about 1:30pm, two interesting transit related activities
were occuring. At the Jay Street station, a train consisting of Transit Museum
cars were making their way to Avenue X on the F line. At the next stop -
Hoyt-Schmerhorn Streets - on the Brooklyn bound local track against the wall, a
commercial or other media event was being filmed.

OTOH on Wednesday (the 18th), while waiting for my uptown 1 at 66th
St.around 3 pm, there was an announcement that downtown 1s were turning
at Chambers St. because of some problem on the South Ferry spur. What
gave, and how long did it last? (Riders were advised to change to the
2/3 and then the N/R/Whatever for Lower Manhattan.)
