Address of gas stations on Major Deegan?

Hello infrastructure mavens --

While driving the Major Deegan in the Bronx today, we were struck by
the following question: How does the gas station in Van Cortlandt Park
get its mail? That is, what is its street address? 100 Major Deegan
(or something like that) doesn't seem to make sense, but we couldn't
imagine any other possible addressing format, except possibly a PO
box.

The same question generalizes: What are the address used by the gas
stations along the Merritt? 200 Merritt Parkway? How about gas
stations along any major interstate?

A letter to "Mobil Station, Major Deegan Expwy NB/SB, Van Cortandt
Park," would probably get there without difficulty. The Postal Service
knows where its customers are.

Potamkin Cadillac ran a full page ad with "West 55th Street & Eleventh
Avenue" as their location. The dealership took up almost the entire
block front. A friend sent a letter using that information plus New
York, NY 10019. It was returned .. "Addressee Unknown".

So much for Radio City Station knowing their postal patrons :)
