NYU-Area Parking Ques

Hi,
I have to meet someone near NYU and was wondering where to park. I want to
park on the street, but I know most of the spaces there are No Parking until
after 6PM. Are there streets down by West 4th where I can park from 5:30PM?
I don't mind walking a bit.

Well, you may try to look for a two hour meter which goes free at 7
p.m., but a better idea is to bring a book and park in a 6 p.m. space at
5:30, then camp out until 5:59. If your schedule allows....

Washington Square itself becomes available at 6:00, and there are often
still spaces at 6:30 or 7 -- North and West, anyway. (South is under
construction, and I've never gone all the way round to East.)
