I really do not think this will be acceptable to many of those who used to
board trains there and who are bound for lower Manhattan. I suspect
that ridership on that shuttle will drop dramatically from levels seen
during rail service. I would not be terribly surprised if the service
was quietly dropped within 5 to 10 years.
Again, the question is why was a new platform not built on the new
alignment?
