| | Guest | Turning in someone's bag Grand Central. Coming down the escalator to the N/R.
Scrolling dot-matrix read-out says, "Buy 10 rides,
get one free!"
Plastic person says it's been screwed up for months,
has no expectation his managers will ever fix it.
The N at Canal. The next stop is announced: "Cortland."
Wait a beat. "No, City Hall is next."
Doors close, I notice someone's bag of stuff (BOS) next
to me. Person no longer has their BOS.
City Hall. J&R. I get out, take the BOS to the Plastic
person, she says she can't accept it. Asks me where I got
it. "It was left on the subway." She reiterates she can't
help me.
There were two people in the booth, the second was sitting
in the rear doing nothing, wearing an NYTC cap.
I'm not about to lug BOS around, I leave it right there
leaning on the wall of the booth where I was talking to
them through the microphone deal. No objections are given,
not that I would have cared.
I guess if you lose your stuff on the subway, the chances
are even worse than you might guess that you'll get them
back.
Her exact words were, "I can't open the door." | |

Ever think of finding a cop and turning it over. I mean; gee who better to
deal with abandoned property in this day of higher alert levels?
