34th Street Underground Walkway

There used to be an underground walkway between Penn Station (NY) and
6th Ave. IIRC, it closed in the 80s, due to crime, vagrancy & filth.
Does this tunnel still exist? Who "owns" this tunnel? What's it being
used for? Now that the city actually has a clue about preventing
crime, would it be possible to re-open it?

Hate to agree, but I do. The walkway between the 34th Street entrance
at 6th Ave/Bway and the 33rd street PATH often smells like varying
blends of chlorine and stale urine. Would hate to imagine what it
would be like at night if they left it open.
