Changes in Manhattan Bus Service
Just noticed (a bit late) that there is now no bus service on Broadway
between 59th Street and 14th Street - everything has been shifted to 7th
Avenue.
Does anyone know what happened to the plan to eliminate #6 service, and
extend the #20 to South Ferry? I thought this was happening concurrently
with the changeover.

Since the 6 was the Broadway bus, it seems to have been implemented.
The 20 was a somewhat viable alternative, but when it got to BPC, it
wandered all over the place. If it still wanders all over the place
before heading south, it doesn't really take the place of the 6.
When I asked at a subway stateion for a new Manhattan bus map, they
gave me one that was more than a year old.

There's a notice showing up inside buses regarding the May rerouting that
mentions the elimination of the #6. However, it's still running (I saw one
Thursday night).
