Hermann Buhl & Nanga Parbat

Today, July 3rd, is the 50th anniversary of Hermann Buhl's summit of Nanga
Parbat. Reinhold Messner has called it one of the greatest climbs ever.

I'm trying to, but some rain is mucking up things at the moment. With
luck we'll all be bouldering on 40ft. cliffs out at the lake and
pitching over backwards into the drink.

Well, we got rained out, but we saw some extremely cool fireworks from
the Town Lake pedestrian bridge. The finale was pretty impressive.
