I haven't been there since it closed, but it wasn't really accessed by
a tunnel, just a cutting between the other tracks.

From memory the power station building continues to exist.

Not just exist, but it appeared to be under active refurbishment and
reconstruction when I last checked.

Yes, I believe it's being totally sorted out as part of the massive
Westfield shopping centre development, though I don't think it's going
to play host to retail but instead offices.
