tfl customer service assistants
i hope someone can help, i recently applied to be a tfl customer service
assistant. i passed the online test passed the telephone test, and now
have a interview date at the end of the month.
i received a letter from tfl with a list of items i need to bring with
me, the test and interview riuns from 9am until 2pm. apart from
bringing a birth certificate and 2 copies of it, they also want me to
provide 2 passport photos, bearing in mind its going to cost me 7
pounds to get to the interview, i will then have to fork out for
passport photos, yet i might not get the job. they have to check
references so is there any reason why they expect all applicants to
turn up with a copiuos amount of idea and passport photos when you may
not get any work, if there are 50 applicants on that day then it will
be around 200 pounds spent on photos.
i am also a bit concerned after seeing its a five hour test and
interview, this happened to me a few years ago, and there were 35
applicants, one was known to the company as he had worked there before
after 4.5 hours we were told spookily enough that 34 of us had failed
the test, and the person that used to work there had passed.....so if
anyone has prior knowledge of the fact that tfl may invite 100 people
for the day and take on 2 people...thanks
