My room overlooked the pool and was very quiet. I can't remember the
rate, but am confident it was pretty cheap. (I believe I booked there
on a Thomas W recommendation)

Default South Point-Continued Discussion

I had a very nice stay at the South Point. My room faced the highway
and it was not a problem. However, the bright sign was a bother.
They have room-darkening curtains, but I like to leave them open. I
had to shut them this trip.

The other post raised some questions about shuttle service. It was in
effect when I was there, but I am planning to go back to Vegas next
spring. I e-mailed them and asked about the shuttle to the strip.
Here is the response I just got back.

"In regards to your question about our shuttle service to the Mandalay
Bay, we are currently still offering service to and from our hotel to
the Mandalay Bay. We are however going to discontinue shuttle service
to the”strip”. We are not sure of the exact dates as of yet but if you
keep in contact within the next couple weeks we will kepp you posted
on the exact date."
