Default Ceasar's Palace Buffet Review

My friend and I made a lot of extra bucks from baseball bets over the
weekend and we had some coupons for $5 the buffet at Ceasars' Cafe
Lago, so we said what the hell. Their website said $17.99 for lunch,
so the $5 discount made it seem like enough of a bargain.

1. The selection was meager. I wasn't even interested in most of the
food that they had.
2. The quality of the lunch items was no better than the food at the
Orleans, which is 1/2 the price.
3. With the exception of the brownies, the deserts were bland and
flavorless.
4. They raised the price by $2 two days earlier and failed to update
any of their publications. So lunch is now $20!!!

Even with the coupons, we felt royally ripped off. Never again will
we bother with a small, expensive buffet. Why pay a crapload for low
selection and average quality when have other options? Orleans is
still the best deal in town.

Default Ceasar's Palace Buffet Review

Rather sad.

Back in the 60's and 70's, the Caesars Palace Circus Maximus Sunday Brunch
was one of the most talked about things to do. If they didn't already serve
it, you could pretty much ask for anything and within reason, they could get
it.

Ah, those were some great days....

Ceasars used to have a real buffet that used to be real good and even
their old coffee shop was pretty good. Of course this was all before
Harrah's took over....

Default Ceasar's Palace Buffet Review

I don't know if it was just because of Harrahs. While I am not a huge fan
of Harrahs, both the Rio and their hotel have excellent buffets.

I still love pretty much everything about CP--except their buffet. The
restaurants are among the best in the city, and the newer rooms are
wonderful. While other hotels look for a new gimmick, CP just seems to
reinvent itself well. The hotel is over 40 years old now and seems to still
hold its own quite well.

Balleys (former MGM) is younger and looks older as does Flamingo, IP, and
Bills (Barbary or whatever you want to call it).

Don't be so sure to just "Blame it on Rio". (I knew I would work that line
in SOMEDAY!)

Never Lost in Las Vegas,

M
