Rent a car i LV

Hi

I am going to Las Vegas with my son from the 13. September to the 26.
September

I plan to rent a car in Las Vegas for the whole period, with pickup and
delivery in the airport.

Which car rent company would you recommend ?

One idea would be to join one of the "frequent renter clubs" of an
agency of your choice.
You may be able to save a bit when renting a car.

Make sure you join the Thrifty Blue Chip club, or the Dollar Express.
This will help greatly.

I am now a bit wiser regarding renting a car in the us :-)

As I will take a trip to LA, San Francisco and back to LV I will need the
car the whole time. And I shall of course see Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon.

Make sure you get unlimited mileage, and it gets returned to the same
location.

Hi all

Have just booked a car through an english company, who is also represented
in Denmark.
They use all the local rent dealers in the US.

I booked a Chrysler 300 (hope that is a ok car) for $ 737 for 14 days,
including everything.

Thanks again for all the answers.

And dixie, my son is 18 (the trip is actually his birthday gift), so I don't
think a dvd player will do it ;-)

Just be aware that in Los Angeles, public transportation is terrible
unless you want to spend a lot of time standing around with your son
waiting for buses. Try to rent a car with a GPS or bring a portable GPS
with you because it will be very helpful.

In San Francisco, a car is not necessary because public transportation
there is superb. Try to park in any outlying area and leave your car
there for the duration of your visit to San Francisco so you can save on
parking. You will pay a lot to park your car in San Francisco and
finding free on-street parking is damned near impossible in the popular
areas where tourists tend to visit.

Definitely book everything (car and hotels) from home. If you book when
you get to the counter, they will absolutely charge you the highest
rates they can get out of you. You lack the ability to shop for
competitive prices when you wait until you need your car to reserve it.
The same is true of hotels. Shop now and avoid being ripped off later.
