Default Best Vegas book/most over-rated Vegas movie

Last year I found an older ex-showgirl in a shop at Wynn selling a
book about Vegas. I have not seen a book like this before or since. It
had hundreds of pictures of old Vegas. I'll dig it out and poost the
name.

You speak of the "dated" High Roller suite in "Rain Man". Where do you
think the best dated sauite in Vegas is currently?

Thanks for the post, Doc

Is that the flick with Dan Dailey & Cyd Charrise? Jim Bakus played a
pit boss @ the Sands in that flick. I think that's the movie, isn't
it. As far as being overrated, I hope you're joking. I don't think
most people have ever heard of it. I'd never have heard of it if I
hadn't seen it on TCM a few times.

I agree that was a good read. Time for someone to do a sequel to that book.
I can't believe that book is almost 10 years old.

I gotta agree. The "Rainman" Vegas scene is GREAT! Maybe it's just
because I love blackjack and love the 'ole school Caesars where I used
to spend many hours playin it. I'm sorry to hear about the dealer, he
added a great deal of authenticity to it given his nonchalant
behavior : "I'm real happy fer ya" LOL
