Default Walt TR - Part 1 of 4

Seven days ago, you said, "Give me a week" to get your TR out, and
true to your word, you have published the first installment exactly 7
days later. Plus about 3 hours, but I'm sure that's just a time
stamping issue at Google Groups.

I've only read the first couple of paragraphs, so I won't compliment
the TR yet. As a Walt TR groupie, I saw an opportunity to be the
first to reply, a position I don't want to risk losing by waiting.

As always, thanks for your TR. The next three late nights here as your
TR's roll in on a schedule that would shame the airlines (that used to
be called damning by faint praise) will be as enjoyble as the late
night steak, baked potato, and salad at Binions for $2.00 used to be.
And with video maybe better.

Do they do it properly and segue into "Wind Up"?

I would never rest my hopes solely on luck, and I regard playing
against the house as ultimately futile. Whereas poker is played
against other fallible players rather than the house, and it has enough
of an element of skill that the more experienced and knowledgable
players will usually take money from the not-so-good players.

At the same time I recognize the appeal that other games have to
different players. A craps table certainly has a more exciting
atmosphere than a poker table, at least outwardly. There are craps
players who believe that setting and throwing the dice is a learned
skill that can improve their results, but I remain skeptical of that.
