| | Guest | question to group, Steaks? again Not sure if anyone here understands but my wife and I are coming
out to Vegas next week and would like to get some advise from anyone
knowledgable about any good steak places in the $25.00 per person range.
Perhaps I asked the wrong pwerson but if there are others who can help
me I would appreciate it. Also, is Carluccios under new management as
when we were there last year, it wasn't as good as other times.

You asked the exact same question on 4/13 and got about 15 good
answers. | |

As Singlemalt pointed out, on April 13 you asked for "Restaurant
suggestions-off strip?" ...
"The wife and I will be visiting in May. Can anyone reccommend any good
off strip restaurants for Italian or steaks etc not too expensive?
Last time out we went to the italian restaurant in the Liberace museum
mall but found it not as good as earlier. Has it changed ownership?
We can even try some on the strip if not outrageous. Looking for about
$25.00 or under per person without extras. Any help will be appreciated.
We will have a car."
You received numerous replies. Did you read them?

| | Guest | question to group, Steaks? again 50 years ago TAD's Steaks of New York City would have been my choice
for a great $6.00 steak dinner. The
times Square location was fantastic for people watching. The steaks
were tasty! Dixie. | |

LOL, this place actually came up in conversation in a local board last
week too!
I wondered if it was still in business, so I googled it, and it
was! :)
I remember Tad's quite well, as it was our regular Friday before-bar
meet and eat place. This wasn't 50 years ago, but in the early 70s, it
was like $2.99 for their regular steak dinner. It was very "ok", but
not haute cuisine by any means, maybe the quality of the steak on
"Steak Night" at the various LV buffets. Something that poor students
could afford. :)
I agree it was a great place to people-watch. At the time, the place
was just east of Times Square, between 6th and 7th. All kinds of
characters would wander in there on a Friday evening. :)

I remember Steak And Brew, but I really don't remember it as being
particularly good, anyway. The big thing I remember was that we were
joking about starting a S&M restaurant and we would call it Stake And
Bruise. :) :) :) Yeah, right! :)
I remember a lot of places with similar {meat} and {beverage} names.
The one I remember best was one at (I think) 59th and Madison. It
wasn't cheap, but they included AYCD draft beer with the entree'. :)
It was most definitely named {something} and {something} and it looked
like it used to be a fish house, 'cuz the bar had all kinds of lobster
traps and such hanging about. Oh well ... :)
