His impressions were a great mix of the old and new from George Burns, Frank, Dino and Sammy, Elvis, Billy Joel, Tom Jones, Michael Jackson, Garth Brooks) and even Michael McDonald, Jon Bon Jovi, Creed, Michael Buble, Dave Mason, to even Bill Clinton singing. he also does females as will as males including Natalie Cole, Anita Baker, Phoebe Snow and Tina Tuner.

While the show is indeed expensive ($110), it is worth every penny. Always a supporter of the Union, Danny also has live music and his band improvises with him. The sound and lighting are superb.

Kermit the Frog is even better than Jim Henson and he also does a complete Tonight Show including Johnny Carson, Karnack and 3 guests.

The Orleans was about 3/4 full last Monday night. Carlin in my opinion has always looked older than his years, but now he really looks old and seems to move a bit slower. The wit and wisdom however is still sharp as a tack, and he didn't seem to be as angry.

These are the exact same impressions that I saw him do in 1995 at the
Strat and 1997 at the Rio. I always tell everyone that Gans is a one-
time must see, but after that, don't bother...it'll be the same act
over and over again. Granted, it's a great act (which is why he's
stuck with it for over a decade). And he'll undoubtedly fill the
theater night after night, and kudos to him for pulling it off. |
