| | Guest | Purchase for Sporgy I bought something that should come in handy (for me, anyway) when I
arrive in town for Sporgy in a mere 7 weeks. After searching online,
I bought a Casio calculator watch for less than $20...including
shipping. I found a lot of places that had them for under $20, but
they all wanted $8-$10 for shipping...for just a watch! Not exactly a
heavy item. I found one of those photo-electronic-watch discount
houses out east that had one for less than $15 & shipping for less
than $5, so I bought it.
I wanted to get one for crunching numbers in the race/sportsbook in
Las Vegas so I don't have to carry a calculator around. I have done
that before & have almost left it lying around a number of times. It
was only a matter of time before I'd lose it.

Play some blackjack and constantly keep doing calculations with the watch.
It should drive the dealer bonkers.

Burt, I was blown away when I heard that he was 28-3 on the season up
to that point. This was around early Nov in 1996 I think. 28-3! Oh
man, I wish I could get my hands on what that formula was.

Wow, that's quite a zinger! You should be on "Hollywood Squares!"
In all seriousness, it will come in handy crunching numbers from the
Daily Racing Form between races. I believe Bay Meadows, Oak Tree @
Santa Anita, & the Meadowlands will be in full swing for Sporgy. I
can't have the space in my pockets compromised by a carrying a
calculator around, thus the need for a calculator watch.
Boy, it's a good thing I don't feel like I have to impress people when
I go to Las Vegas, because that watch won't fill the bill...or will
it?

Don't forget the greatest racetrack of them all, Belmont Park...
