Default Review . Michael's steakhouse at SouthPoint

Lets just ignore Farmer John for now..........but where is The Range on
the ladder of steak places? Of course the company can have a lot to do
with the experience of the restaurant. Tom in Ct

That's what they told us as well, although this room isn't as nice as
the OLD place was. That was CLASSIC Las Vegas. This is a modern
approximation, although they really didn't have all that much time to
work on it, and they were working from the bones of the Mexican
place. I'm surprised they didn't put it upstairs and leave the
Mexican place where it was, but I'll never understand the thinking
process that goes into Vegas casino restaurants. I'm just hoping
that when they get the Prime Rib room built, it's as good a deal as
the one at the 'Orleans.

I meant to add that surprisingly, one evening last week aboard the Caribbean
Princess was actually deemed non-smoking night in the casino. Although it
was just as crowded as other nights, being in there was an infinitely more
pleasant experience.

We've had far better luck on the Princess land tours in Canada/Alaska

an equally great cruise on the Splendour out of Galveston a year ago,
last Christmas. I suspect that any cruise with great food and
entertainment is more a luck of the draw than a single cruise line or
ship.

Don't quit your day job, John Payton.

Good for you. How much of a difference did you see in benefits? We
don't have another Princess cruise booked until 2008, but have 2 more
this year, 1 on HAL and the maiden voyage of the Azamara Quest.

Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll have the same kind of problems they
had with Journey, and we'll not only get a free cruise, but a full
refund as well, like the passengers of Journey did.

Wait a minute? 16 identical cruises? What in heavens name made you
do that?

that's one of the reasons we're cruising less and less on Princess.
