Default Grand Canyon Skywalk: Open for business?

Best way is to fly out. Check for tours that offer
a plane ride from north Vegas; they'll also offer
a helicopter ride to the canyon floor, raft ride,
etc. as extras. About 300 a person and a full
day trip.

That's too bad. We were hoping it could be a day trip. The cost of
the chopper ride would definitely be unique and a once in a life time
experience; however, unless we win big, the timing is not right. For
some reason, it seemed closer.

For a future trip, plan to see the Canyon as part of a multi-day
driving loop out of Vegas. A couple nights at the South Rim, a night
at Page, AZ near Glen Canyon Dam, a night or two each at Bryce Canyon
and Zion parks in southern Utah. Plus plenty of great scenery along
the way. Best done in spring or fall.

I'll bet that rule goes over really well with the tourists.
