Default Tahiti Resort

My daughter has booked us for 3 nights at the Tahiti Resort....$129,
refunded after the 2 hour tour.
I figure 2 hours for three free nights at a nice place may be worth
it...since we'll be in town for a week. (actually 8 days)
I'm waffling, b/c I'd really rather be downtown...near our friends who'll be
in and...heck, I like downtown.
So, has anyone stayed at the Tahiti Resort? What's there? A casino? Nice
pool?

Comments or suggestions?

Tahiti Village (time shares) is located just south of Fry's
on the otherside of the street.

Please report on the "hot" strip show they are going
to comp you to BR.

Isn't that the timeshare Tanya Roberts & Alan Thicke are always
shilling for on TV? Hey, if she can withstand the 2 hour grilling,
er, I mean, sales presentation, more power to her. I hope she has a
nice time in Las Vegas, minus the timeshare pitch. She might even get
a good story to tell out of it.

I sat through a similar presentation from Embassy in South Lake Tahoe.
Same pressure, but when I raised the resale market, they had that
covered also. The place had only been open a short time, but they
already had defaults they were selling directly as resales.
The SLT area has several agencies that specialize in resale
timeshares; I guess they were tired of losing commissions to the
outside resale agencies. We did get out after they realized we weren't
going to buy regardless of their offers. The premium we earned (it was
work) was worth the two hours, as the weather was bad that day, and we
had nothing else to do.
