Default Plaza... Standard or Deluxe room

We will be in Vegas in June and have pretty much decided on the Plaza.
We usually stay at VC and a few nights here and there at Plaza. What
tower is by the check in, is it the north tower and standard rooms? What
rooms are easiest to access and have any of the rooms been redone? Seems
to me that the standard rooms at Plaza were better then the standard south
tower rooms at LV. I know the deluxe rooms have a mini fridge, is that the
main difference?
Thanks,
Kirk

Not to quibble, but why would a room high up in the Plaza give you a good
view of the FSE? Wouldn't you be looking at the 'back' of the big TV ?
