Helicopter Tour - Grand Canyon - Hoover Dam Etc..

Hi..Ive been to Vegas a few times and have never done any shows or
tours. My wife is interested in a Helicopter tour of the canyon and
nearby attractions. I have seen quite a few on Yahoo! searches etc...
Could someone please recommend a good tour that is enjoyable. She only
wants to fly, not any busses etc.

I hear people talking and saying that maverick helicopters have a pretty
good trip to the grand canyon. Could be expense $300-400 a person but
nothing can compare to hovering 1/2 a mile in the air above the colorado
river and the blades kicking up dust on the walls of the canyon. besides, if
they crash and burn, death is immediate and there is no suffering.

There were some Grand Canyon tour threads here recently; try searching
them for more info. Be aware that the helicopter tours out of Vegas
only go as far as the West Rim of the canyon, which is outside the
national park on Indian land. You need to travel to the South Rim for
the wide vistas you've seen in films and pictures. Some folks here
enjoyed the West Rim tour, while others found it disappointing.
