Consumer Reports Chain restaurant reviews

Just curious -- does Consumer's Report base those ratings on their own
evaluation, or is it from a survey of their reader's opinions?

Reader survey. There's no way in the world they could realistically compare
the quality of the product in this case.

Consumer Reports is fine for advice on totally utilitarian items, i.e.
which steam iron heatsup faster. But they're subjective comments aren't
worth a damn. These are the same guys that drool over bland Honda
Accords
