Default Living in Las Vegas

Hello there,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with these two questions:

- Living in Las Vegas

How much are the average expenses per month (exclude gambling please
*g*)?
How much are appartments for two persons or small houses in the West
Sahara area?

- Doing business in Las Vegas

I run an artist booking and event organisation agency - thus I got the
experience - but is there still a chance to survive in Las Vegas being
involved in entertainment? Is there a need in such services or is the
market overfed?

I am looking forward to reading your comments.

Thanks in advance

Julian

IMHO, being successful in the business you mention would be a function
of how plugged in you are in the area you choose to live in. As you
know, the entertainment business in Vegas is pretty old and
established.

If I were you I would ask myself these questions.

1. What am I going to offer clients that is not currently offered?
2. What am I going to offer customers that is not currently offered.
3. Am I strong enough financially to handle the hit of moving and
living for a year without a consistent income.
4. Do I have a list of hotel/casino entertainment directors.
5. Can I begin my business without living in Vegas day-2-day.

Good luck
DD

Steve-

I know that you would know about this, for sure. It's quite disappointing to
hear.

I am curious though, what specificly have you seen to cause you to make this
statement? Of course the "lounge shows" have fallen off since "Classic
Vegas" days, but I still see a fair amount (IMO) of live music in casinos.
What makes you say they are eliminating that?

Very interested in this topic.

Best,
Frank

It would be tough to call that, for sure. But, if a live band brings more
money into the bar/lounge, and they want ALL departments to turn a profit,
seems like that would fill the expectation.

Like you said, it will probably self correct.

Houses can run from 250 up, and the other expenses are up tp you based upon
consumption. If you gamble, go on, burn the house and declare bk first
month. ...just get it done and over with. :)
