Default ? Hotel on Strip that has Quiet Rooms

I am a light sleeper and this would be my first time in Vegas while it
will be my girlfriend's 3rd time. We almost booked at the MGM
(through Costco Travel) but various reviews have indicated that the
walls at this hotel are thin: one can hear neighbours in the nearby
rooms talking and also hear the toilet, shower, running.

We are looking at a hotel like the MGM but need some recommendations.

Thanks

Caesars Place Tower rooms and Aladdin have the most quiet rooms, IMO.
Not Mirage, TI, NYNY, Luxor, or Monte Carlo.

We'd add THEHotel at Mandalay Bay to the list as well. Very quiet and high
quality.

Where ever you book your room, ask to be on the upmost floors, away from the
street and on the north or south side to avoid to a degree the sun and heat.
Noise is more related to how loud the others are. If you are in a room
with newspaper for walls and you have Granny on the other side, noproblems.
However, if you are in a room with two foot thick walls and Judas Priest or
NXS on the other side, well, the noise is evident.

Best of luck and have a great time!! :)

I am a light sleeper too. I have never had a problem getting a good
night's sleep at the Luxor in either of the towers or at the Excalibur.
If you stay at the Luxor avoid a room on a low floor in the pyramid
because you can hear the noise from the casino. The tower rooms are the
quietest.

There were the same discussion months ago. I think the quietest hotel room
voted by most people is THEHotel by Mandalay Bay.

Does anyone recall the name of the thread? Also, I never heard of
THEHOTEL. If one looks to book at the Mandalay Bay, how does one know
if they are getting THEHOTEL?
