| | Guest | Sahara Blackjack I forgot to mention in my trip report that I went to the Sahara, twice, to
use POV coupon ($50 in chips for $40). The first time sucked big time.
Nice 6 deck shoe table with some friendly kids, but I lost 7 straight hands.
Turned $40 into $25.
Second time was a little better, I ended up with $45, but I risked a couple
of red chips to get ahead.
The shoe games all paid 3-2, but single deck games paid 6-5. Why play black
jack on the strip when the games are much better downtown? (El Cortez,
Plaza, Fitzgerald's,Vegas Club) Of course I'm talking about the low
rollers...$3-$5 minimums!!! | |

Oh My! The sheer terror of it all!
You risked a couple of RED chips?
I bet you were nervous and sweaty as you bet them.

No, not really. I just don't care for six deck shoe game, when a
single/double deck game is available.
I like it much better when I make my original investment with the blue promo
chips. Last year I doubled my investment twice.
Sorry to disappoint you.

No, you don't disappoint me.
In fact, I am pleased for your success.
You work so freaken hard when you are in Las Vegas with clutching your
little special coupons and running from casino to casino to use them.
In prior trip reports you mentioned the disdain shown to you and your
coupons when trying to use them. Maybe the casinos have a line on you
as a hit and run freeby coupon user.

Thanks...but wait a minute? Did I say I was nervous or sweaty? All I said
was that I 'risked' a red chip. I was neither nervous or sweaty...ok, maybe
sweaty, but not from the game...
If I want to play $5/hand six shoe, I can do it here down at the river.
Part of the attraction of Vegas is single/double deck games at those lower
levels. | |
