Default Ask for those perks

I had already called and made my hotel reservations for the Gold Coast
for the first week of March. Thought it was a done deal at $49 a night.
I was satisified.

Then today in email I get an offer from then for the same room rate PLUS
2 free lunch buffets at Ports of Call (really good buffet) and 2 free
spaghetti dinners at Arriva and a free 2 night stay at a later date this
year if I book within a specific time frame. It happened to be when I am
going anyway.

So I call their reservations desk and ask if I can get that special
promo even though I had already booked. The gal put me on hold for a
minute and then came back on and told me her boss said it was okay to
change it so I could those freebies. I figure it to be a total savings
around $150.
Glad I made the call.......

We spent a lot of time on the VP machines at Barbary and the Orleans,
and signed up for email specials. I've yet to hear a peep from the
Coast properties regarding internet specials or deals, or even a link
to the current website prices. What gives? You have to be a high-roller
to get any attention from these folks? We were planning on staying at
the Orleans for a week next year, but I'm dissappointed with the lack
of response. Everyother casino we have a players card with is
inundating us will mail.

Pete
