Helicopter visit Grand Canyon We did the tour last year that included an airplane ride from the
North Vegas airfield to the indian reservation side of the canyon.
From there, they give you a helicopter flight to the river bank,
where you embark on a 20 minute cruise on the Colorado
River on pontoon boats. Helicopter back up to the rim,
old school bus ride (with a "colorful American Native) to
their observation point for a pulled-beef feed. Bus back to
airstrip, flight back to North Vegas field and shuttle bused back
to your hotel. Pricey, but well worth the money.
Problems: Colorado River is very low, making the boat launches
a little harder this year, also there is a small trek from the helipad
down to the much lower river banks. I can't remember the
operator of the tour, but a call to VisionAire in Vegas should
yield some info.
