| | Guest | Hard Rock Will I feel comfortable at the Hard Rock Hotel if I'm in my mid-30s? I know
the clientele is generally 20-something-snotty people, but my hubby and I
love to people watch and don't get intimidated by the "pretty people" too
much! Just wanted some opinions from some "older" folks that have stayed
there. Heard the pool was great fun.
Thanks! | |

How can anyone tell how you would feel? Find out for yourself.

| | Guest | Hard Rock I've stayed there with and without my wife - am in my mid-30's and by
no means am one of the pretty people. I never felt like I was "part of
the crowd", but I never felt uncomfortable or unwelcome. The staff was
always great.
Quite simply, this is my favorite hotel in Vegas. You get all the
benefits of the huge hotels, in a *much* smaller and more intimate
package. This is especially true of the pool, which is amazing and not
nearly as crowded as most places.
As for gambling, I love gambling outside by the pool, but the casino
itself is nothing special. I tend to gamble elsewhere. The only other
drawback is that prices have gotten completely out of hand.
Get a room facing the pool (its worth the extra cash) and its the best
place in town. | |

Your consciousness determines your reality. In other words, you'll
feel uncomfortable there if you expect to be uncomfortable. I'm in my
early 30's and going there in August, and I'm not the least bit
worried about whether or not anyone else thinks I "fit in". Albiet I
probably look the part. I'm sure plenty of "hip" 40-50somethings who
were into the rock & roll scene back in their heydays spend time there
as well. Go there and pretend you own the joint (short of demanding
your expenditures be comped and access to the casino cage).

| | Guest | Hard Rock I wouldn't worry about it, but there's really not much to see around the
neigbourhood, unless you take the free shuttle to the strip.
