Default Columbia River Gorge area

Hi. I'm traveling from the East Coast to Or/WA in late June. I'd like
ideas about favorite day hikes within a couple hours' drive of the Columbia
River Gorge. We are a family of 4 with two teenage girls. We are fully
capable of 8-10 mile hikes with 2000+ feet of elevation gain, though we are
used to sea level.
