Default quick saw question

I need a saw for those times when I'm not on a trail/in a national forest
and need firewood. My friend uses a Sven saw and swears by it but I thought
I'd check in here for other opinions and suggestions. I'd prefer something
that's as light as possible and yet durable.

Default quick saw question

The Sven Saw is fine and probably one of the lightest of its class
(just under a pound). We take it on short trips. I've seen the Sawvivor
in catalogs. It weighs in at 9 ounces, but I've never used one.

If you need something really light for very limited use, you can get a
pocket emergency saw that has a toothed wire with rings on both ends.
It weighs a few ounces. If you try to use it as is, you'll wear your
fingers off, but putting a small stick or something similar in each
ring as handles largely solves that problem. Still, it's not for big
jobs. We take one on extended backpacks, storing it in a Ziplock.
