quick saw question The Sven Saw is fine and probably one of the lightest of its class
(just under a pound). We take it on short trips. I've seen the Sawvivor
in catalogs. It weighs in at 9 ounces, but I've never used one.
If you need something really light for very limited use, you can get a
pocket emergency saw that has a toothed wire with rings on both ends.
It weighs a few ounces. If you try to use it as is, you'll wear your
fingers off, but putting a small stick or something similar in each
ring as handles largely solves that problem. Still, it's not for big
jobs. We take one on extended backpacks, storing it in a Ziplock. |
