It has been used recently as a venue for the Hawaii International Film
Festival and other similar functions so it did show films recently. The
billboard in a recent photo hawked "The Valet", a 2006 movie, so
presumably it was operating as recently as then.

I don't recall the name of the theatre, but I don't
recall seeing advertising. I haven't attended HIFF
for quite a while now, but I'll take your word that
they did show some movies there. It seems that street
parking is bad. Is there some parking in the back-- off
King St?
