Is Jerry OK?

I'm not sure that this posting is kosher.... But Jerry
has not posted for quite a while. That's also true on
retirement where he is just about the most prolific
poster. At first, I would think that his computer just
broke down or he's away on holiday.... But have any of
you Maui folks heard otherwise?

I am fine. The reason for my absence is my computer crashed and
burned. I
finally took the thing to a shop that repaired computers (one of
the
good lessons learned). but while I was tinkering around trying to do
the
job myself (an effort in futility), I found out that Microsoft was
coming
out with Vista, so I bought the program. The computer repair people
installed the program, then I found out that this new program has a
really
confusing process for getting access into my newsgroups. The first
time I
called Road Runner a couple of days ago, they were of no help, but today
when I called, I guess they figured out what I had to do.

So, for better or worse, I will be posting again <g>
